Hicham Mellati, President of the National Commission for the Coordination of Measures to Combat and Prevent Trafficking in Human Beings received Brian Marcus, Deputy Director of the American Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons.
The Deputy Director of the American Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, visiting the Kingdom of Morocco, was received, this Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, by Hicham Mellati, Director of Criminal Affairs and Graces and President of the National Commission for the Coordination of Measures to Combat and Prevent Human Trafficking, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.
This meeting was marked by the participation of a high-level delegation from the American Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. The two parties agreed on the terms of future collaboration and coordination between the two institutions in order to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and the USA in this area, and to provide technical support to the National Commission in the areas of identification, protection and referencing of victims.
The American delegation took note of the efforts made by Morocco since the establishment of the national commission for better coordination of measures to combat and prevent trafficking in human beings.
