Obviously nothing can happen quickly and quietly anymore. Once once more it took half the night before German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) and the 16 countries were able to agree on common measures in asylum policy. But it finally succeeded, and that’s not bad news – the opinions were and are very different. Everyone agrees that fewer refugees should come to Germany.
