The Institut Curie has developed an artificial intelligence capable of identifying cancers that are undetectable by traditional means. It recently proved its worth in the case of Wilfrid, a patient in his 50s who was diagnosed with two brain tumors in 2019. He was successfully operated on but unfortunately the tumors reappeared in the brain but also in the back. By analyzing Wilfrid’s brain tumor, she ends up delivering an unexpected verdict: her cancer had a 90% chance of coming from the kidney despite the tests already performed on this organ.
