French identity card in one hand, summons in the other, many French people from Switzerland rushed to the polls on Sunday. The country hosts the largest community of French people living abroad: 149,000 are registered on the electoral lists in Switzerland, including 124,000 for French-speaking Switzerland. The canton of Vaud has 54,300 French voters against 41,700 in Geneva.
