Health Minister Firas Abyad confirmed, “There is a decrease in the number of cases of corona, but this does not mean that we have finished the epidemic, as there is an increase in numbers in European countries, and the vaccination rate must be raised to avoid any increase in our numbers.”
In an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon 93.3”, Abyad indicated that “there are a lot of dues to hospitals, and the largest percentage is from the state, and this delay causes major problems. The issue is between the Ministry of Finance and the Banque du Liban, and we are working to secure these dues as soon as possible.”
On the subject of cancer drugs, he said: “There is a campaign we will launch this week towards local factories, and there will be an important announcement on Wednesday in this regard.”
Abyad continued, “We have the best quality cancer drugs in Lebanon and we are working to increase funds to preserve these drugs, and the level of Lebanese medicine is very high.”
