Comedian Jimmy Kimmel left many viewers confused on Monday after he asked singer Sean “Diddy” about a decades-old rumor that he wanted to get into a fight with star Will Smith after the latter suggested to Jennifer Lopez that he and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, should have a three-way relationship.

In detail, Kimmel, 55 years old, said in an interview with Sean Diddy, 53 years old, who was explaining his new album: “I saw a man on the Internet the other day and he said he was one of the bodyguards who worked for you.”

He continued by saying: “In his post, he claimed that when you were dating JLo (Jennifer Lopez), Will Smith and Jada tried to have a threesome with her, and you would hit Will Smith. Is this true?”

The bizarre question left the international singer momentarily speechless before he offered an evasive answer: “This show has gotten crazier since the last time I was here. No,” Sean Diddy laughed awkwardly.

“It’s all about love though,” he added. “That’s not true,” Kimmel replied.

Sean Diddy then said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about… Jimmy, I thought we were friends. Where did this interview just go?”

The post, posted online by Sean Diddy’s former bodyguard, read: “We were at a birthday party that I think Matt Damon was throwing for Ben Affleck. It was just a small gathering at the Four Seasons Hotel. Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Buff, Will Smith and Jada were sitting on the… One side of the room.”

Sean Diddy then told guard Jane Dale, “I think Will and Jada are trying to get on Jennifer. I want you to stay close because I’m going to beat him up.”

It is reported that Sean Diddy and Jennifer Lopez dated from 1999 to 2001 before they broke up on Valentine’s Day.
