The Israeli army revealed that Israeli singer, author and actor Idan Amidi was seriously injured on Monday during clashes with gunmen in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Amidi has been serving in the Israeli army reserve forces since the first day of the war, specifically in the engineering unit.
She indicated that Idan was injured by various shrapnel in several parts of his body, adding that he was transferred to Sheba Medical Center.
The Israeli army did not specify the exact location of the incident in the Gaza Strip.
Yedioth Ahronoth explained that the Israeli actor’s condition is stable, while he is undergoing anesthesia and artificial respiration.
Last November, Amidi wrote on his Instagram account that he was “ready not to act or sing for a year in order to continue the fight.”
He added: “We must not abandon the Israeli population in the south and north once more. Anything other than eliminating Hamas in Gaza and uprooting Hezbollah in southern Lebanon poses a direct danger to our children.”
