An opportunity flies away for Anderlecht

Anderlecht could do well in the top 4 but were too quiet in front of OHL’s goal.

To allow yourself to look up, you have to be able to seize opportunities. Anderlecht has just missed a good one by failing to win on the OHL field.

All the elements were there to achieve the great deal for the Champions playoffs. And even from the podium. With the misstep of the Union and the shock between Club Brugge and Antwerp this Sunday, Anderlecht could have come to stick to the top three. And as a bonus, the Mauves would have pushed Mechelen a little further in the fight for PO1.

For that, Vincent Kompany would have had to overcome his pet peeve: Marc Brys.
