Today, the Public Prosecution ordered the detention of a director of a private nursery in Alexandria for four days, pending investigations. For accusing her of assaulting her children, endangering their lives, and running the nursery before obtaining a license to do so.

The Public Prosecution had heard the testimony of four of the guardians of the children in the nursery, who confirmed the persistence of the manager’s assault on their children, beating and slapping them, which caused them injuries, and that they documented the testimonies of their children by assaulting them and their injuries in photographs and video clips that they exchanged among themselves, and the prosecution viewed them. the public.

The Public Prosecution also listened to the statements of two teachers and a nursery worker, who confirmed that her principal had repeatedly assaulted children, and that one of them recorded an audio clip documenting one of the incidents of abuse that she submitted to the guardian of the abused child, and monitored its circulation by the statement administration on various social media sites, and a woman residing near the nursery testified that she had previously heard screaming sounds. And the distress of the children inside the nursery and their violence from its director.

The Public Prosecution office received a statement from the Solidarity Directorate in Alexandria that a license for the nursery had not been issued, and a complaint was previously filed against it in 2020 for a similar incident. The competent Chamber of Commerce also reported that the nursery violated the terms of the commercial registry issued to it. For receiving children under 4 years old, in violation of the nature of its activity to develop the skills of children over this age.

The Public Prosecution office had assigned an expert from the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood to examine the incident under investigation, who confirmed that the children were subjected to physical and psychological harm from the nursery manager, which left them with negative psychological effects.

With the interrogation of the Public Prosecution, the director of the nursery denied the accusation attributed to her, and it became clear from the sum of her statements that she did not obtain any certificates in the field of education or the development of children’s skills, and it was sufficient for her to inform her of training in this field through social media, and accordingly the Public Prosecution ordered her to be remanded in custody, and completion is underway. investigations.
