The executive committee of the Czech Football Federation will meet next week to discuss the situation of the national team, which lost 0-3 to Albania in Euro qualifying in Tirana on Thursday. Coach Jaroslav Šilhavy remains with the team for now. According to FAČR boss Petr Fousek, the national team must now focus on winning at home once morest the Faroe Islands this Sunday. The federation announced the convening of the executive committee in a press release on Friday.
After the defeat in Tirana, the Czech national team fell to third place in Group E, one point behind Poland and five points behind leader Albania. Compared to its two opponents, Reprezentace has one match less and has three matches left to play before the end of qualifying. The top two teams from each group will qualify for next year’s Euros in Germany.
