After her retirement from art, the artist Athar Al-Hakim made some statements that created hostility between her and a number of her colleagues.
Although the Egyptian artist Athar Al-Hakim worked with the artist Adel Imam more than once, she criticized and attacked him when he said that he does not allow his daughter and wife to work in art and kiss men.
At the time, Athar accused him of not respecting his fellow artists, and mentioned the effects of what happened when she worked with him in the movie “The Tiger and the Female.”
During an old television interview with Safaa Abu Al-Saud, she was asked by a caller about her refusal to kiss the scene with Adel Imam, so she confirmed this and said that she refused at the time to kiss the leader, and determined that the scene be taken in a way that deceives the viewer and illusion that a kiss occurred as a response to his previous statements.
