Andrés Navarro leaves the presidency of Sonda and assumes the current corporate manager

This Monday Sonda informed the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) that Andrés Navarro closed his term as director and chairman of the company’s board.

“I am proud of the team that we have formed in Sonda, with which we have successfully faced important challenges. After 48 years in the company, since its founding in 1974, today I want to make way for new leaders, who, I am sure, will continue to develop this company not only regionally, but also globally,” said Navarro.

Navarro founded the technology services provider company in 1974. He is a civil engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has been president and member of the board of directors of various corporations and institutions. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salfacorp and a member of the Board of Directors of Universidad San Sebastián (USS).

In his professional and business career, he has received various distinctions, including awards granted by Icare, the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, the Chilean College of Engineers, and the Chilean Institute of Engineers.

Replacing Navarro, as of this Monday, José Orlandini took over as Chairman of the company’s board of directors and closed his period as corporate general manager, with more than 37 years of career in the company. “I am happy to continue contributing to this new cycle of Sonda’s expansion in America and the world with innovation initiatives that accompany our clients on their path to digital transformation,” said Orlandini.

In Orlandini’s place, meanwhile, Luis Alberto de la Cruz – until today corporate services manager – took over as corporate general manager of the firm.

Sonda achieved revenues of US$1,248 million in 2022 and has more than 13,000 workers, with a direct presence in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay.
