Apple resolves the problems related to the waves of the iPhone 12. Indeed, the ANFR gives its approval for the deployment of a fix.

As you know, the ANFR has singled out Apple for its non-compliance with the electromagnetic standards of the iPhone 12. However, the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) in France cares about these details, and it just validated a corrective update from Apple for iPhone 12. This update addresses an issue with the device’s SAR (specific absorption rate).

The DAS measures the energy carried by electromagnetic waves and absorbed by the human body. ANFR testing found that the iPhone 12 exceeded legal SAR limits when the phone was held in the hand or placed in a pants pocket. Originally, the device displayed a “member” SAR of 5.74 W/kg, while the legal limit is 4 W/kg.

ANFR validates the fix

However, good news has just arrived. Thanks to a software update from Apple, the “member” SAR of the iPhone 12 has been reduced to 3.94 W/kg. This means that it now fully complies with current standards regarding electromagnetic waves. The ANFR has given its approval to this corrective update.

However, there is still a crucial step to take. Apple must now release this update to all iPhone 12 users in France to ensure their devices comply with the standards. Once this is done, the ANFR will lift the ban on the marketing of the iPhone 12.

If you own an iPhone 12 in France, be ready to receive firmware update 4.06.02 very soon. This technological advancement is an example of how Apple strives to ensure the safety and compliance of its products, while ensuring that you can continue to enjoy your iPhone with complete peace of mind.
