The senior men’s national beach soccer team faces Mozambique today, at 12:00, in the last round of group B of the COSAFA Cup
This Wednesday, Angolans and Mozambicans face off at the South Beach Arena, in the South African city of Durban, in a match relating to the third and final round of group B of the 4th edition of the “COSAFA” African Beach Football Championship.
Yesterday, the national coach, Peterson Vieira Dias, corrected the aspects that were faulty in the last match, with emphasis on the defensive organization, as well as the offensive transition.
The Angolan team knows that the challenge will be highly difficult due to the characteristics of the opponent. However, the Angolans start as favorites, as they are deep into the competition.
In the first round, Peterson Dias’ men beat the Tanzanian team by three balls to two, a result obtained in the second round against their counterparts from Morocco.
The national team faced too many difficulties, which is why they managed to win in extra time. In the group B league table, the Angolan team leads with five points, two more than Mozambique and Morocco.
It should be noted that Tanzania is in the “red zone”, that is, in the last position without any points. In case of victory in the duel, the National Team guarantees qualification for the semi-finals of the competition.
