In a harsh ruling, the National Chamber of Criminal Cassation rejected this Thursday the last move by the defense of Aníbal Lotocki, the “celebrity surgeon”, for which he was prevented from practicing medicine until it is confirmed or not. his sentence to 4 years in prison for serious injuries against Silvina Luna and other entertainment figures.
Lotocki’s defense sought to annul the ruling that had suspended him from professional practice. “The chosen path is inappropriate, while the presentation suffers from serious substantiation defects,” said judges Héctor Magariños, Alberto Huarte Petite and Pablo Jantus.
“All of the issues introduced by the defense in his presentation were expressly and exhaustively addressed in the questioned resolution, to the point that the lawyer has not even tried to refute the arguments developed therein by this court, but rather has articulated his presentation aimed at obtaining the invalidity of the resolution on the basis of arguments absolutely of the arguments presented there”, they affirmed.
Lotocki was sentenced to 4 years in prison and disqualified from practicing medicine for five years for the crime of serious injuries against Silvina Luna, Gabriela Trenchi, Stefanía Xipolitakis and Pamela Sosa.

In July, the prosecutor Sandro Abraldes demanded that the National Chamber of Criminal and Correctional Cassation order the provisional disqualification from the practice of medicine and commerce “in the field of aesthetics and cosmetics” to the doctor. And the Cassation took place.
After Silvina Luna was hospitalized, Abraldes, who brought the prosecution forward in the trial, asked that the disqualification be made effective to avoid new victims. Now, the Cassation judges granted that request.

Luna is going through a delicate condition due to hypercalcemia that caused kidney failure, caused by the cosmetic surgeries that Aníbal Lotocki performed on her in 2011. The model she entered intensive care at the Italian Hospital a month ago.
