Anker Announces MindBase AI Hub for Whole-Home Smart Connectivity

Unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin, the Anker MindBase is an AI-powered smart home hub that unifies whole-home connectivity, on-device computing, and local storage. Developed to operate locally without mandatory cloud processing, the system connects Anker’s security, energy, cleaning, and audio ecosystems into a single intelligence network designed to manage smart devices locally.

An Architecture Built for Local Intelligence

The core of the system relies on an in-house AI Core compute card rated at 26 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second). This hardware drives an on-device AI engine known as Anker TrueSmart Agent, allowing the smart home hub to process information locally rather than relying on remote servers. According to Anker Innovations Chief Executive Steven Yang, MindBase gives a home “a true brain of its own that can understand what is happening across the home, make decisions locally, and coordinate the devices inside it.”

Storage management operates via Anker EverSafe Memory. This local Network-Attached Storage (NAS) style layer provides up to 48 terabytes of expandable capacity. Because the processing and storage happen on-device, the system supports natural-language footage search, highlight-reel curation, and photo or video analysis without transmitting sensitive user data to the cloud.

Ecosystem Expansion and the MindBase Security Kit

To tie disparate hardware together, MindBase utilizes Anker EasyOmni Link. This integration layer supports close to 100 Anker devices alongside hundreds of additional Matter-compatible products from various manufacturers, minimizing platform fragmentation in complex smart homes.

The first hardware bundle built around this infrastructure is the Anker MindBase Security Kit. This kit pairs the central hub with several new peripherals:

  • eufy TrackLight Cam S1: A security camera combining 180-degree dual-radar detection, 4K resolution, and an auto-tracking deterrent light.
  • Video Doorbell S4: Features a panoramic 180-degree field of view, a 9-megapixel lens, 3K resolution, and color night vision.
  • Smart Security Shield: Capable of detecting strangers from up to 15 meters away.
  • DSKey Credential: Designed to recognize family members from up to 30 meters away.
  • Additional entry and motion sensors.

When triggered, the security agent responds in real time through automated lighting, verbal warnings, observation, or active deterrence measures. Anker has not yet confirmed launch timing or pricing for the MindBase Security Kit bundle.

Broadening the eufy Portfolio

Alongside the MindBase hub and its accompanying security kit, Anker showcased several standalone additions to its eufy hardware lineup at IFA 2026. The eufy Video Doorbell S4 carries a US MSRP of $299.99 including its chime, with availability expanding to Canada, the Middle East and Africa, select European markets, the UK, and the US in late September.

For larger deployments, the eufy NVR Security System E50 is available now in Australia, Canada, and the US. It pairs an eight-channel recorder with four hybrid pan-tilt-zoom cameras and a hard drive expandable up to 16 terabytes, starting at $999 for the four-camera kit and $1,599 for the eight-camera kit. Renters and apartment dwellers are targeted by the Anker eufy Window Camera E10, which features a window-mounted design and on-device AI detection priced at $69.99. Finally, the Anker eufy Fall Detection Sensor utilizes millimeter-wave radar to provide non-wearable fall detection for older adults, though pricing for that hardware remains unconfirmed.

The Privacy and Subscription Model

By emphasizing local-first data handling, Anker processes sensitive biometric information directly on-device. The company states that core platform features operate without a mandatory monthly subscription, though certain select premium features may still require one.
