Anker launches new 100W and 30W chargers, but without GaN

2023-06-02 10:30:00

In this week, the Anker released two new usb-c chargers: one with power up to 100W and another from until 30W. Despite offering different charging powers, both are designed to offer a balance between features and price.

The big difference between the recently announced models and those on the market is in the technologies that the American company has implemented. One of them is called ActiveShieldmade to monitor the temperature during charging, ensuring the safety of the devices.

Another feature present in both models is the PowerIQ 3.0, which adjusts the power output to provide the best load for each device. In addition, both devices have a foldable plug, which makes them more portable and convenient – even if it is in the US standard.

In order to reduce costs, Anker chose not to include the technology GaNGallium nitrideor gallium nitride.”>1, just like in its more advanced models. Consequently, these models may have slightly larger dimensions compared to other models using such technology.

The chargers — which come with a cable, it is worth noting — are already available on American Amazon and, to mark the launch, Anker is offering promotional discounts. The 100W model, which costs US$36, can be purchased by US$28; already the 30W it’s costing US$16; its original price is US$18. Discounts are in effect for a limited time.
