ANSES Scientific Meetings – Antimicrobial Resistance Day in Animal Health and the Environment | handles

Each year, on the occasion of European Antimicrobial Resistance Day, ANSES, through its Scientific Meetings, organizes its annual symposium on this theme. It is fully in line with the implementation of the interministerial roadmap adopted on November 18, 2016, which aims to strengthen and coordinate efforts to fight more effectively against antibiotic resistance in animal health. It participates in the mobilization of the actors concerned, whether they are scientists, decision-makers or professionals in the field, around this issue, in order to explore new actions for a better use of antibiotics in veterinary medicine and a limitation of their impacts.

In 2018, this conference day will focus on current and future issues in terms of epidemiology and modeling of antibiotic resistance. As every year, the Agency’s two annual reports on the national development of resistance in animals (Résapath report) and sales of veterinary antibiotics and the results of the European surveillance plan (LNR Antimicrobial Resistance) will be presented. , as well as insights into different research strategies contributing to meeting current and future challenges on this major public health issue.
