Anti-Covid vaccination centers close in Wallonia: here’s where you can get vaccinated

Vaccination centers in Wallonia will gradually close their doors from December 19 until December 23.
Beyond this period, a local vaccination service will however remain available everywhere in Wallonia to continue to protect people against serious forms of Covid-19.

More than 650 partner pharmacies spread over the Walloon territory will continue to offer vaccinations by appointment (the first pharmacies have been testing since June). They can be found on the site jemevaccine.be.

The partner general practitioners will continue to vaccinate by appointment. Vaccination in a vaccination center or in a pharmacy is paid for by the public authorities, the vaccinated person does not have to pay anything. Nevertheless, a vaccination by the general practitioner is billed as a consultation.

In Genval, Fabian’s pharmacy offers vaccination. “The pharmacist takes on his role. We help the State with this, as well as the doctors. It is an added value for our profession too because it is a service that we provide”, he declares.

“There are alternatives everywhere. jemevaccine.be is an alternative for Wallonia. Information must also circulate in Brussels. In Belgium, we will be able to continue to be vaccinated against covid-19”says Lara Kotlar, spokesperson for AVIQ (Walloon agency for a quality life). “There were already alternatives. Since June, you could get vaccinated in certain pharmacies and at some participating general practitioners.”
