António dos Santos Domingos is the new PCA of TAAG – news

TAAG, Linhas Aéreas de Angola, enters 2024 with new leadership, with the appointment of president of the board of directors (PCA/Chairman), António dos Santos Domingos, and the new president of the executive committee (PCE/CEO), Nelson Pedro Rodrigues de Oliveira. This change was formalized today at an extraordinary general meeting of the company, held for this purpose.

Santos Domingos is a manager with a reference CV and brings with him a vast amount of experience built over more than 30 years with experience leading companies such as Sonangol, Sonair, Helimalongo, Sonagesa, Banco Caixa Angola, Sonagás and Banco de Desenvolvimento from Angola. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Financial Economics.

Nelson de Oliveira returns to a house he knows well. The manager, who until now worked at the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), returns to TAAG, where over 38 years he performed various technical functions. He also joins the Miguel Carneiro team, as a non-executive director.

The manager, who until now served as a consultant to the Transport Minister’s Office focusing on the Civil Aviation subsector, brings with him 20 years of transversal management experience. The remaining administrators remain in office.

After being accepted by the general assembly as the company’s new PCA, António dos Santos Domingos stated that “to work with a spirit of mission, with courage and selflessness so that TAAG brings joy to Angolans and asserts itself as a flagship company increasingly relevant is our main objective”.

The manager stated that he is aware of the difficulties internally and externally, and also of the “need to work together” so as not to defraud those who believe in his team, adding that the path forward will be facilitated by many decisions taken in the recent past and by the work of the entire team that remains in office.
