Starting this Friday, April 21, Anzoátegui joined the XXI Vaccination Campaign of the Americas in Venezuela with the activation of 232 fixed and itinerant vaccination points to reach the goal of 97,967 applied doses.

According to what has been indicated by the regional authorities, the immunization day will last until next Monday, May 15.

The Single Health Authority in the entity, Zuilen Li, reported that the activity will be administering the national vaccines that include biologics against tuberculosis (BCG), IPV poliomyelitis to prevent poliomyelitis, pentavalent to prevent diphtheria, whooping cough, haemophilus, influenza type B and hepatitis B, in addition to SRP for protection against measles, rubella and mumps and bivalent against rubella and measles, Yellow Fever and Covid-19.

For her part, Briceida Figueroa, Coordinator of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), from the “República de Chile” National Educational Unit in Barcelona, ​​reported yesterday that under the slogan “I’m in for Vaccines!” the teams will remain deployed in the basic and general secondary Initial Education Centers (CEI) to attract the student population, as well as in itinerant stands located in the Plazas Bolívar of the different municipalities, communities and places with the greatest influx of people.

Figueroa pointed out that the PAI received more than 120,000 doses of biologicals from the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), which will guarantee the totally free application, thanks to the policies of President Nicolás Maduro, and which are promoted by the governor Luis Marcano to avoid immunopreventable diseases.

He reiterated the call to mothers, fathers and representatives to go to the health center closest to their home in search of the corresponding vaccine according to their age group.
