Apartment with lots of colors and antiquaries | Open House with Eduardo Machado

It is very common to think of the classic as a neutral and very peaceful style. But architect Eduardo Machado’s apartment proves just the opposite! With different combinations of colors, textures and furniture found in antique shops, this week’s Open House will certainly surprise you.

Eduardo’s apartment is in Porto Alegre and underwent a complete renovation to make it just the way he wanted it. There are several works of art on the wall, family pieces, Murano glass, signed furniture and many, many pieces of furniture found in antique shops. The apartment is so interesting that it brings solutions that I could not have imagined, such as the grill built into the wall between the kitchen and the dining room, a type of barbecue that is very common in Rio Grande do Sul, Uruguay and Argentina.

All this combination of furniture and colors ends up creating a contemporary style, flirting very well with the classic, certainly unique. You will understand better once you watch the video! I got to know the entire apartment and show you every corner of it in detail, it’s worth checking out.
