Predominantly couples between the ages of 50 and 60 are expected to move into the residential project run by the Silberstreif association in Salzburg-Gneis. The club is recruiting interested parties. As is well known, 250 apartments are being built on Dossenweg, 27 of which are reserved for the “50 plus” residential project. The units between 45 and 85 square meters should be ready for occupancy from autumn 2026. As part of the contract with the city of Salzburg, Silberstreif operates the “GuteStube” meeting point as a space for Meetings and neighborhood work. Each member agrees to do 40 hours of social work per year. “If you are interested in new forms of living in an active community, we are the right place for you,” emphasizes chairman Michael Flemmich. The project is the first residential group in the social sector Housing construction in western Austria. The apartments are rented between 14 and 18.50 euros per square meter, depending on the income of the tenants and housing subsidies.
