Apex edition presented, coming in September

Maneater is definitely one of the craziest titles you can currently play. Tripwire Interactive and Deepsilver have created an action RPG of a very special kind. Basically it’s about eating as many people and sea creatures as possible as a shark in order to level up and grow. over time you can unlock and play other shark species. In addition to exploration, there are also plenty of battles against other species of sharks, beasts and the coast guard.

As the developers have now announced, the game will be re-released as an Apex Edition on September 30th. This includes the main game and the DLC Maneater: Truth Quest. However, no information is given about the price of the edition.

Maneater: This is the Apex Edition

Die Maneater Apex-Edition will be released on September 30th for PS4 and combines the main game with the Maneater: Truth Quest DLC. A free update for the main game is offered for PS5 users, so the Apex Edition should also be able to be upgraded for free.

The DLC provides a new environment with new challenges and sea creatures, but the gameplay doesn’t change much. This consists of the key features of Maneater together:

  • WOLF DOWN: Feed on animals & humans, consume nutrients and find rare shark prey to evolve beyond nature ever intended.
  • EXPLORE THE OCEAN: Explore seven vast regions including Gulf Coast bays, resort beaches, industrial ports, vast ocean expanses and much more. Experience a complete change of day and night
  • BECOME A LEGEND: Unlock numerous evolution steps to further develop and improve your shark and use them in your hunt through the campaign.
  • UNIQUE STORY: Play through a fully narrated, story-driven campaign, narrated by Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty, Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock)
  • VARIED AND ADDICTIVE BATTLES: Battle challenging beasts, including other species of sharks, or numerous human hunters, from drunkards to coastguards
