HomeKit has been the focus of many changes in recent months, with many more coming. Matter compatibility and the new Thread connection protocol were some of them, but the Casa application was also going to be a star. New architecture for significantly improved performance, but does not change the visual aspects of the app. But users won’t stop complaining about bugs in new updates until Apple retracts it and is forced to acknowledge the problem.

Updating to the new House first required the new version of iOS 16.2 (and its counterparts on iPad, Apple TV and HomePods). Apple is aware of issues with guest users accessing the HomeKit network even if they are already authenticated.For example in my case All guest users disappeared, and I send the invitation again, but nothing arrives. Location automation is also not working. HomeKit network accessories are fine. In fact, they work very well and some even respond faster than before.
All of this forced Apple to back down. Home can no longer be updated to the new architecture even when using iOS 16.2Hopefully soon these issues will be fixed and everything will be back to normal.
