11 years: this is the time that Apple remains at the top of the ranking of the most valuable brands in Interbrand (o Best Global Brands), whose This year’s edition has already been published.

Regarding Maçã’s position, Interbrand’s global strategy director, Manfredi Ricca, said that “a brand like Apple can no longer be attributed to one sector”. In this sense, he explained that it competes in different categories, as it helps its customers to connect (with the iPhone), but also to prosper (with the Apple Watch) and manage their finances (with the new savings account) and a lot more.

Apple’s foray into different sectors allowed it to occupy the top of the table for the 11th year, surpassing Coca-Cola in 2013.

Overall, the growth rate in the global value of listed brands has slowed, registering an increase of just 5.7% this year — compared to 16% in 2022. The total value of brands (summed) in 2023 reached US$3.3 trillion — and Apple, which has a market value of close to US$3 trillion, had its brand valued at US$502.6 billion.

According to the consultancy, the lack of a growth mindset, as well as weaker brand leadership and poor forecasts were some reasons behind the aforementioned slowdown.
