The American company “Apple” is working on manufacturing a chip inside its smart devices that will operate cellular communication, wireless Internet “Wi-Fi”, and “Bluetooth” data transfer technology.
It is scheduled that “Apple” will start using the new chip inside its devices in 2025, according to a report from the American “Bloomberg” agency.
This step will result in Apple dispensing with the chip it is currently using, developed by Broadcom, which is one of its largest suppliers.
Bloomberg also revealed Apple’s current efforts to develop its own cellular modems, to replace Qualcomm’s devices, at a time when the latter announced that it expects to acquire the “vast majority” of the “fifth generation” network modems. iPhones released this year.
Bloomberg claims that Apple will use its modems “by the end of 2024 or early 2025.”
