The start of the Digital Markets Act has made some changes necessary for the tech giants, at least in Europe. Apple had to implement particularly far-reaching changes. While users of iPhones and iPads were previously only able to obtain apps from Apple’s own app store, alternative platforms are now also permitted. At least three such have been announced: Mobivention, MacPaw and Epic.
