Apple presents Katy Perry and K-pop SEVENTEEN’s “Remix Lesson” at GarageBand!
If you like to play music, don’t miss it! Apple announced that starting on the 18th, GarageBand for iOS and iPadOS will include two new in-app “remix lessons” featuring Katy Perry and K-pop group SEVENTEEN. GarageBand’s “Mixing Lessons” lets anyone become a DJ with tracks from today’s top artists. Inspired by songs recorded by the artist himself, and through Apple Creative Pro’s step-by-step instructional videos, these in-app lessons allow aspiring musicians to experience music in Katy Perry’s “Harleys in Hawaii” and SEVENTEEN’s “Darl+ing” 〉 and other popular golden songs, inject your own personal characteristics.
Katy Perry and SEVENTEEN’s “Mixing Lessons” are available for free download in the GarageBand “Sound Library”, which also contains a wide variety of free loops, sounds and instruments, providing all the tools needed to mix and match, allowing users to Take the original song in a whole new direction. Mixing using GarageBand’s popular Live Loops interface, anyone can quickly rearrange a song and add new elements, all while keeping everything in sync with tempo and pitch, without the need for music theory expertise. Remix FX adds variety to the mix, with tools like filters and repeaters to help create the ultimate effect. Whether it’s turning House music into hip-hop, or mixing and matching styles, GarageBand users can get creative.
Apple retail stores around the world offer free Today at Apple creative and educational courses to inspire customers to use their favorite products more deeply. Starting today, the new Today at Apple course “Music Skills: Remix Katy Perry” will be held in select Apple retail stores in select countries and regions around the world. In this class, Creative Pro will teach customers how to remix Katy Perry’s “Harleys in Hawaii” using GarageBand for iPad and iPhone. Top artists featured in the previous Today at Apple “remixing class” include Billie Eilish, Khalid, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and more. Customers can sign up for classes at nearby Apple retail stores through Today at Apple.
