Apple Reality Pro may launch early to compete with Samsung Galaxy Glasses

The rush may have been caused by Samsung’s announcement that it will launch new AR/VR glasses in 2023, which means that the one that puts its products on sale first must dominate the market, as it has already happened with cell phones with folding screens, market dominated by South Korea.

Despite this, the idea does not seem to please Apple engineers, according to the Financial Times, they believe that the Reality Pro glasses are not ready for launch, as the initial plan was for this model to reach the market only in 2025 or 2026.

Speaking of specs, Apple Reality Pro is expected to have two 4K micro-LED screens and 12 sensors for motion and environment tracking. These components can make it cost around US$ 3,000, regarding R$ 15 thousand in direct conversion.

The Samsung Galaxy Glasses is being developed in partnership with Qualcomm, which has yielded good results such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the Snapdragon for Galaxy chip. Unfortunately there is still no information on the specifications of the Galaxy Glasses, but if the Financial Times is correct we should know more in the coming months.
