Apple released emergency security updates following discovering the presence of Israeli spy software Pegasus. Pegasus A was found on the phone of an official in Washington DC monitoring government operations. The problem was brought to Apple’s attention by Citizen Lab, a group that monitors Internet violence.

The hack is attempted on the latest version of iOS (16.6). The hackers used a method called zero-click vulnerability. Zero-click vulnerability hacking does not require clicking on any link. The peculiarity is that the phone can be hacked without it. This method was used to hack the phone.

Pegasus allows a hacker to secretly monitor what a person is doing on their phone. Citizen Lab discovered the problem at the time of the hacking. With this, hackers have found that even iPhones with the latest software can be hacked.
The company has reportedly managed to fix two security issues using the new update.
