Apple Sends iOS 12.5.6 Update to Older iPhones and iPads to Fix Webkit Vulnerabilities

Apple today released iOS 12.5.6 update for older iPhone iPad models that can’t run iOS 15. This update fixes a webkit vulnerability.

Devices that received the iOS 12.5.6 update include:

• iPhone: iPhone‌ 5s, ‌iPhone‌ 6, ‌iPhone‌ 6 Plus, iPod touch 6
• iPad: iPad Air, iPad mini 2 and ‌iPad mini‌ 3

This webkit vulnerability has been fixed in iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1, and macOS Monterey 12.5.1, with several devices not supporting the update. Apple has released a separate update instead for the iPhone. Old iPad
