Apple Studio Display User Complaint Shows Error Message Can’t Update Firmware

Recently, there have been complaints from Studio Display users in Apple’s official discussion forum, saying that when they try to update the firmware for the display, they get the error message “Apple Studio Display firmware update might not be completed” and cannot complete the update. Try once more and contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Shortly following the Studio Display hit the market, users found the display’s video lens to be of poor quality, and Apple promised to improve it with a firmware update. According to the comments posted in the discussion forum, some affected Studio Display users tried to connect the display to another Mac computer, or turned it off and then turned it on once more, but still might not complete the firmware upgrade.

Users who are unable to update contact Apple and are told that the monitor needs to be taken to an Apple Store or an authorized service provider for repair. The Studio Display is Apple’s first pre-installed display product for the iOS system, and users need to update it through the macOS System Preferences.
