The analyst Ming-Chi Kuo echoed predictions about the technology market in 2024 and included the Vision Pro in its speculations. For him, the device will be Apple’s most important product for next year. The device would already be in the mass production phase and the first shipments would begin next week; the estimate is that 500 thousand units be manufactured in 2024.
The highest probability is that the headset will then hit stores between the end of January and the beginning of February of next year, considering the mass shipping schedule. Kuo also added that if consumer feedback on the Vision Pro is better than expected, it will help strengthen the consensus that the product is the “next star” in the electronics market and its price in the supply chain.
The journalist Mark Gurmanyes Bloomberg, had previously said that the launch of the headset would take place in March 2024, which is a little later than the analyst’s prediction. Gurman also mentioned that training would take place in January with store employees to learn more details about the product.
Kuo also commented in a very general way on Apple’s possible launch schedule next year, which should not differ much from usual. After the start of sales of the Vision Pro, the analyst projected WWDC24 in June, followed by the presentation of the next iPhones in September and a media event for new Macs in the fourth quarter of 2024.
In addition to talking about issues related to Android devices, the analyst highlighted the importance of software for good implementations of artificial intelligence.
