On the recent Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, the Apple brand added a very practical feature, called “double tap.” Concretely, this allows you to interact with the watchOS interface by pinching your thumb and index finger.
Do you receive a text message but your other hand is not free? No more aiming at the screen with your nose: a simple tap of your fingers and the watch displays the message and lets you respond by voice. Need to stop a timer? Same gesture. And if you’re on the home screen, “double tapping” takes you to the widgets.
In short, the option is rather well thought out, and works very well (provided you keep the watch screen facing you). But it’s not really an exclusivity reserved for the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2.
