Apple and Electronics Arts have been in talks for a few months. Recently, Apple would have reversed its intention to buy the video game publisher.
Over the past two months, several tech giants have spoken with EA. We are talking about Apple, Amazon or even Disney. In July, during the company’s most recent earnings conference call, CEO Tim Cook said that Apple “never buy to buy“. Therefore, according to MacRumorsApple has just pulled out of the talks.
With the launch of Apple Arcade, the apple brand could have considered this takeover to create its own titles. Apple could also have obtained access to successful franchises like Apex Legends, The Sims, Battlefield, or even FIFA Football.
