Apple is expected to announce this fall with the iPhone 14 seriesAirPods Pro 2. This new high-end true wireless Bluetooth headset has several changes compared to the previous generation, and not just in terms of music/sound quality experience.
A recent report alleges that the AirPods Pro 2 will feature a heart rate monitor, hearing aid functionality and a USB-C port instead of a Lightning interface.
The leaker claims that the source is accurate and that the AirPods Pro 2 will introduce a USB-C connection before the iPhone 15 series is expected to switch to USB-C next year. Since Apple doesn’t release new AirPods Pro products every year, it makes sense to bring them to the AirPods Pro 2 before the iPhone 15 series uses the USB-C interface.
The AirPods Pro 2 is expected to be equipped with the newly upgraded H1 headphone chip, and it is unclear whether Apple will give it a new name.
The leaker speculates that the retail price of the AirPods Pro 2 should be between $249-299, which may be necessary given the current inflation situation.
