Apple has begun testing its next-generation top-end processor “M3 Max” for its own notebook computer (PC) “Mac”. The company is gearing up for next year’s launch of its most powerful MacBook Pro. Bloomberg News has confirmed the test records of a third-party Mac app development company that the M3 Max has a central processing unit (CPU) of 16 cores (12 high-performance cores, 4 high-efficiency cores). It has a graphics processing unit (GPU) with 40 cores. This has four high-performance cores and at least two GPUs from the top “M2”. The MacBook Pro under test also has 48 gigabytes of memory. Apple is likely testing different variants and core configuration options, and this confirmed version is one of them. An Apple representative declined to comment.
