Apple’s (Product)RED Collection: Celebrating World AIDS Day with Special Edition Products and Donations to The Global Fund

Apple invites you to join us in celebrating World AIDS Day by launching a red watch series for Apple Watch. Since 2006, Apple has partnered with (RED) to support The Global Fund in the fight against HIV/AIDS. When customers purchase (Product)RED products, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Global Fund, which uses 100% of Apple’s donations to fund HIV/AIDS-related programs in sub-Saharan Africa. Over the past 17 years, Apple customers have helped raise more than $2.5 billion to provide millions of people with access to life-saving antiretroviral treatments and HIV testing, and to help HIV-positive mothers prevent passing the virus to their babies. This year, Apple is making it easy and fun for customers to support (RED) and The Global Fund through their purchases. From now until December 4, the App Store will bring MONOPOLY GO!, Gardenscapes, and EA Sports FC Mobile, three exclusive games with in-app purchases of playful avatars, cool shields, and Proceeds from celebrity football players and other content will be donated to The Global Fund. In addition, from now until December 8, Apple will donate $1 for every purchase made using Apple Pay at apple.com/tw, through the Apple Store app, or at an Apple retail store. Customers can help save lives by purchasing any Apple product or accessory, and hundreds of Apple retail stores around the world will commemorate the day with in-store decorations. Apple also creates opportunities through the services it provides to educate customers about HIV/AIDS, the people affected by the disease, and the heroes who fight it. In the U.S., Apple Books readers can browse a selection of fiction, nonfiction, and audiobooks from around the world that amplify diverse voices in AIDS awareness and advocacy. Through Apple Podcasts, listeners can learn more about the history of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States and other countries, and hear stories from activists, artists, and ordinary people. Viewers can explore a collection of compelling shows and movies that spotlight the human cost of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Watch Now tab of the Apple TV app. Apple Music subscribers can listen to a curated selection of music from across Africa, including works by Nigerian artists from Mavin Records. Apple Watch also offers a (Product)RED aluminum case and (Product)RED sports strap. Apple Watch Series 9 is powered by the new S9 SiP and is packed with the most advanced health, fitness and safety features ever in Apple Watch, as well as the amazing new two-finger double-tap gesture and iPhone’s “Find” feature.
