The Director General of Health Affairs in the Northern Borders Region, Alwan bin Saleh Al-Shamrani, inaugurated the activities of the Unified Gulf Week to promote oral and dental health under the slogan, (My health starts from my mouth).
The four-day events organized by the Northern Borders Health Department in Al-Othaim Mall in Arar aim to educate community members about the importance and how to take care of teeth.
Objectives of the Gulf Week to promote oral and dental health
The Gulf Week also aims to activate the role of community institutions in supporting and implementing preventive programs, the preventive role of the dental workforce, and the participation of health service providers in implementing preventive programs for oral and dental health.
The activities that target community members such as children, parents, doctors and health workers educate them about oral and dental health care and its impact on individual health, ranging from health education, complications of diabetes and its impact on oral and dental health, healthy behaviors and their impact on oral and dental health, and me I can for People of Determination, and introduce new oral health services.
