The District Administrative Department of Health (Dadis) invited Cartagenans who do not have their booster dose to go to the vaccination points set up in the city to eliminate the face mask in closed places since May 1.

“The people of Cartagena have in their hands the decision to remove their face masks in closed places. We invite people from Cartagena to go to the vaccination points to receive the biological booster if they have already completed four months of receiving their full vaccination schedule. We have enough biologicals in all the vaccination points enabled in the District to meet this goal,” said Ana Margarita Sánchez, Operational Director of Public Health of Dadis.

Sánchez explained that a few days ago the coverage of the application of booster doses of the population over 20 years of age was at 43%, however, when the booster vaccine was opened for people over 12 years of age, a lag was perceived “due to because in that population only 5% have gone to get the booster dose”.

The city has 10,513 doses of Pfizer, 28,223 doses of Sinovac and 9,704 of Janssen, according to Dadis.
