BUENOS AIRES, March 16 (Archyde.com) – The Government of Argentina obtained 381,115 million pesos (about 3,483 million dollars) on Wednesday with the first auction of internal securities in March in favor of the Treasury, said the Ministry of Economy, with what short-term asset maturities are comfortably refinanced.

The operation implied a refinancing rate of 148%, with this tender and the bond conversion carried out last Friday.

With these transactions, “the Treasury was able to renew the entire ‘Boncer TX22’ (bond) on March 18, which represented a total of close to 547.44 billion pesos,” an official report said.

The menu of instruments offered this Wednesday was made up of seven titles and a basket, whose maturities operate in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026. A new letter ‘Lelite’ was issued on March 31.

1,470 offers were received, representing a total face value of 509,780 million pesos.

Of the total financing obtained, 59% corresponded to instruments maturing in 2022, 38% in 2023, 2% in 2024, and the rest to the instrument maturing in 2026. Likewise, 16% of the amount awarded was in instruments at a fixed rate and 84% in instruments adjustable for inflation.

Within the framework of the Market Makers Program, this Thursday the second round will be held where offers can be received and awarded for up to 20% of the total nominal value.

The Government has scheduled a next tender on Tuesday, March 22.
