With an official letter to the Police Directorate of Achaia, which was simultaneously notified to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance of Patras, EPS Achaia, Atromitos of Patras and the media, the management of Ari Patras requests a change of the venue for the match against Atromitos, raising the issue of security.
In detail, the document states the following:
“As you know, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, a play off match will be held to determine the champion of Achaia between our team and Atromitos Patras at the Zarouchleikon stadium.
The specific stadium does not meet the criteria required to hold the specific match, as on the one hand it does not have the required space, nor suitable bleachers to accommodate the expected crowd that will come, and on the other hand portable materials such as stones, wood, etc. that can be used to cause episodes.
Also, in view of the level of viewing space behind the benches it is impossible for the world to watch the match given that there is a strong interest and it is certain that the attendance will reach 3,000 people.
Finally, we are exposed (team and fans) to danger from third parties who want to cause quarrels and incidents. For all these reasons and with a view to the future and in view of the smooth running of the race and the safety of all of us, we request:
The change of the field and to define a new suitable field that will meet the above criteria”.
