The Arizona Coyotes submitted the name of Quebecer Jean-Sébastien Dea to unconditional waivers on Saturday in order to terminate his contract.

Dea was in the final year of the two-year contract he signed with the Coyotes in the summer of 2022.

The 29-year-old forward expressed a desire to move to Europe this week.

Dea has been rolling around for a few years in the American League.

He was an important member of the Laval Rocket in 2021-2022, collecting 52 points, including 26 goals, in 70 games.
