At the start of the year, we learned that ARK 2 was being pushed back to 2024, making fans who were desperately hoping for a first gameplay presentation even more impatient. At the same time, Studio Wildcard announced ARK: Survival Ascended, a remake of ARK Survival Evolved under Unreal Engine 5.
ARK Survival Ascended finally reveals its gameplay
As expected, the developer is showing gameplay today to show a representative version of the final product. We can thus admire the progress made compared to the original version.
ARK: Survival Ascended will remain in Early Access until the end of 2024, at which point all content will have completed “remastering” to the next generation. Finally, the developers have confirmed that the order of release of the different maps in the game will remain generally the same. However, it is possible that some non-canonical maps may be released sooner depending on the development team’s workflow.
Finally, the studio announced that some content planned for release day had been removed. Therefore, the developers have adjusted the launch price of ARK: Survival Ascended which will be available in early access at the price of €44.99 with a launch discount bringing it down to €39.99. This remake will be released for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 in November and is available now on Steam.
