Armani presents a star-studded fashion show in Venice
Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani brought glamor and stars to Venice, on Saturday, with a fashion show entitled “One Night Only”, coinciding with the 80th Venice Film Festival.
The 89-year-old designer put on a fun, cinema-inspired show for his celebrity guests.
The Armani Privé collection is designed around couture creations embellished with patterns, often paired with ruffled collars.
Dresses, shirts, pants, and headpieces sparkled with sequins. Touches of bright blue, green and pink were added to the kits, which were largely black.
The Venice Film Festival lacks the usual star attendance this year, as many Hollywood stars were forced to miss due to the “actors’ strike”.
Nevertheless, Armani, one of the greatest designers in post-war Italy, had no problem drawing a large crowd to watch his fashion show. Among those present in the front row were famous Italian actresses Sophia Loren, Sidney Sweeney and Jessica Chastain, as well as directors Ang Lee and Ava DuVernay.
Armani “One Night Only” fashion shows have previously been held in cities including: Tokyo, New York, London and Dubai.
