Armed group “raises” journalist’s son in Culiacán

Ernesto Martínez, with a long career as a journalist on security issues, was part of the team of The New York Times newspaper, working on the 20-episode series of its weekly television program about “El Culiacanazo.”

The reporter was awarded the Emmy Award, awarded by the United States National Academy of Television and Sciences, for his news coverage of “Black Thursday” in Culiacán.
