A man was arrested on Wednesday morning after committing a burglary in a duty pharmacy in Grez-Doiceau, said the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office.
A pharmacist on duty heard noise in the pharmacy located on chaussée de Wavre, in Grez-Doiceau, around 2:00 a.m. in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. He immediately alerted the police.
At the scene, officers apprehended a suspect. The man had emptied several cash drawers in the pharmacy found himself in possession of cash and rolls of coins.
The alleged burglar, a man born in 2004, of Moroccan nationality and without a known domicile in Belgium, was deprived of his liberty. An investigating judge was seized of the case and the issue of an arrest warrant was requested against the person concerned.
