The Puerto Rico Police Bureau (NPPR) reported this Friday that a person linked to the killing of more than 30 cats was arrested on the premises of the El Camarero racetrack, in Canóvanas.
According to the information, the man will be transferred to a barracks for the corresponding process.
On Monday, the investigation into a possible case of cruelty against animals on the premises of the aforementioned place was announced.
According to the report by the Uniformed Forces, the complainant, who is a security guard at said place, reported that around 35 dead cats were found in and around the block.
In addition, the woman mentioned that for the internal investigation, a necropsy will be performed on one of the cats to find out the causes of death.
Agent Yilenia Escalera, attached to the police district, investigated the aforementioned events.
