A new suspect has been arrested as part of the investigation into acts of torture and kidnapping in Ravels (Antwerp province) in February. He is a 23 year old man. He was arrested in March in Marbella in Spain and was handed over to Belgium, the Antwerp public prosecutor’s office said, confirming information from Het Laatste Nieuws.

A 37-year-old Dutchman was found bloodied at the end of February in the street in Ravels. He was missing a finger and had other injuries that appeared to have been stabbed. The man was allegedly kidnapped and tortured, probably in the context of narcotics.

Several suspects have since been placed under arrest warrant as part of this investigation which is still ongoing. The individual arrested in Marbella would have played an important role in the events.
